Misconceptions

Pupils treat contemporary accounts as neutral facts rather than partisan viewpoints; remind them to evaluate the author's social position and motive.

Adaptive teaching

Scaffold.Writing load barrier: provide vocabulary lists in home languages where the school has them, with pictures where it does not, alongside structured sentence starters for evaluating primary accounts.

Challenge.Pupils evaluate how the magistrates' panic reflected national post-Napoleonic fears of armed revolution.

Next lesson

Pairs publish their audio recordings onto printable location maps for Key Stage 4 options evening.

Build one from your own idea

Type what you want to teach the way James did. ALF drafts the unit, and you change whatever does not fit your class.
